No Life was Lost ; No Documents Damaged In Fire Outbreak: WAEC

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has disclosed that the fire that ravaged a section of its head office today, October 26, did not affect the documents and records store.

It was revealed that the fire that engulfed its facility in Lagos has been put out by a combined team of firefighters.

It added that no life was lost in the inferno and all important records remain intact.

A statement by Head, Public Affairs Department, Moyosola Adesina, reads:

“WAEC wishes to inform the general public that there was an early morning fire incident at the WAEC National Office, Yaba, Lagos.

“It was swiftly contained by a combined team of fire fighters.

“Thankfully, no life was lost and all important documents and records are intact”, the statement added.
