Oborevwori Calls on Delta APC to Deliver Massive Votes for Tinubu

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has urged leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress in the state to mobilise heavily and ensure strong support for President Bola Tinubu in the party’s upcoming presidential primary election.
Oborevwori, who serves as the coordinator of the presidential primary election in Delta State, made the call during a visit to a founding leader of the APC in the state at his country home in Evwreni, Ughelli North Local Government Area.
Addressing party stakeholders, the governor expressed confidence in the strength of the APC structure in Delta State, insisting that the party has the capacity to produce overwhelming votes for the President. He noted that the party has over 470,000 members and expects a massive turnout, adding that delivering strong numbers is important for the unity and future of the party.
Oborevwori stated that the state APC structure is targeting at least 390,000 affirmation votes for President Tinubu, stressing that grassroots mobilisation across the state remains strong and active. He referenced his own emergence as the party’s governorship candidate, noting that the level of support he received then demonstrated the organisational strength of the APC in Delta State.
The governor also called for discipline, unity, and respect for party leadership, warning that internal divisions could undermine political success. He emphasised that a political party without discipline, respect for leadership, and regard for authority cannot move forward, and that party supremacy and collective responsibility are essential for building a strong political structure.
In response, the APC founding leader commended Oborevwori for his purposeful leadership and efforts to strengthen the party in Delta State since joining the APC. He stated that the governor respects elders, and expressed gratitude for the leadership and direction he has provided.
He stressed that political success depends on consultation, inclusiveness, and respect for established party structures, noting that no candidate can succeed without engaging stakeholders. He assured the governor of the commitment of APC leaders and stakeholders in Delta State to work together toward delivering strong support for President Tinubu in the upcoming primary election.
