Ondo Police Arrest Two Suspected armed Robbers, Recover Toy-gun
The Ondo State Police Command under the the leadership of CP Adebowale Lawal has arrested two suspected Armed Robbers and recovered a toy-gun during a routine stop-and-search operation carried out by operatives of the command.
The suspects, identified as Simeon George (M) and Moses Daniel (M), were apprehended in the early hours of 15th March, 2026, while police operatives in collaboration with members of the local vigilante group were conducting a stop-and-search operation within the Oba-Ile axis. During the search, officers recovered one toy gun and a headlamp concealed in the suspects’ bag.
Preliminary interrogation revealed that the suspects could not give a satisfactory account of themselves or the items found in their possession, thereby raising suspicion about their intentions.
Consequently, the suspects were taken into custody for further questioning while the recovered items have been secured as exhibits.
The case has been transferred to the appropriate investigative unit for detailed investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the possession of the items and whether the suspects are linked to any criminal activities. However, they will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigation.
