Osun 2026: APC Chieftain Forecasts Ekiti Election Replication in Upcoming August Polls
A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has declared that the party’s decisive victory in the recently concluded Ekiti State governorship election will be mirrored in Osun State during the upcoming August 15, 2026, polls.
Speaking with journalists in Osogbo on Sunday, Oyintiloye described Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s re-election in Ekiti as a well-deserved triumph that underscored the public’s trust in progressive governance. He asserted that the outcome serves as a clear warning for the current ruling party in Osun State to prepare for defeat.
The former lawmaker emphasized that the APC is fully unified, organized, and ready to reclaim executive leadership in the state. He expressed absolute confidence that voters are eager to repeat the Ekiti landslide by electing the APC flagbearer, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, as the next governor of Osun State.
According to Oyintiloye, the Ekiti election demonstrated that internal cohesion, focus, and robust grassroots mobilization make electoral victory achievable. He noted that after four years out of the state government house, the opposition APC has built the necessary teamwork and dedication required to win back the state.
He concluded by urging the electorate to maintain their support for the APC, assuring them that the incoming administration would prioritize public welfare, inclusivity, and sustainable development.
