Osun Governor Shares Heartwarming Story at Son’s Wedding

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, shared a personal and lighthearted account of his son’s journey to marriage during the traditional wedding of his son, Gbolahan, to Damilola Adio in Lagos last weekend.

In a speech that has since gone viral on social media, Governor Adeleke recalled frequent conversations with his son about settling down, to which Gbolahan would playfully reply that he was still “testing.”

The governor humorously noted that he and his son shared similar tastes, and he often advised Gbolahan that previous partners were not the right match. He said everything changed when his son finally introduced Damilola.

“The day he brought home Damilola, I hugged him and said, ‘That’s it,’” Adeleke recounted.

He expressed gratitude to the bride’s family for entrusting their daughter to the Adeleke family, assuring them that she would be well cared for. The governor concluded by celebrating the union, declaring, “this is the day the Lord has made, and we shall all rejoice.”
