Oye-Ekiti Celebrates Chef Dammy’s Guinness World Record Attempt, Pledges Support For Future Endeavours
Oye-Ekiti, June 21, 2023 – Miss Damilola Adeparusi, the talented Mass Communications undergraduate, also known as Chef Dammy, has garnered widespread praise and encouragement from the hosting Community of Oye-Ekiti for her audacious bid to set a new Guinness World Record.
In an official statement by Oye Ekiti’s Media Team, the town rejoices in Damilola’s historic feat, lauding her fearless determination to surpass limitations despite the environmental challenges she faces as a student at FUOYE. The statement declares, “Your extraordinary achievement will inspire countless young minds to break glass ceilings and strive for excellence and greatness.”
The town’s statement also extends congratulations to the Federal University of Oye for providing the necessary support and momentum for Damilola’s remarkable feat. It expresses the Community’s unwavering commitment to stand by her side and support other visionary students dedicated to bringing positive development to their state, nation, and the world.
Prince Wale Aribatise, Chairman of the Media Committee for Oye Wellness, added his voice to the acclaim to all, especially praising US-based Oye-Ekiti indigene, Mr Ayodeji Arojo, for his generous contribution of N500,000 towards supporting Miss Adeparusi’s endeavours. He further announced Mr Arojo’s plans to take Chef Dammy on an exciting cooking tour of the US.
While Chef Dammy’s recent 120-hour cook-a-thon, which involved preparing over 100 pots of food, received immense support and recognition, it was not officially registered with the Guinness World Records (GWR), as confirmed by the Record-Keeping Body. However, undeterred by this setback, Chef Dammy remains resolute in her determination to repeat her extraordinary achievement.
Responding to the curiosity surrounding her next steps, Chef Dammy expressed her eagerness for new opportunities and experiences in life. She emphasized the need for others to recognize her versatility and grant her the chance to explore diverse avenues, given her demonstrated capabilities. In light of this, Chef Dammy and her team have announced their decision to embark on a new challenge soon —a 150-hour Cook-A-Thon that will be duly registered with the Guinness World Records. Get ready for the return of Chef Dammy!
