Oyo: Gov. Makinde declares August 20 work-free to mark Isese Day

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has declared August 20 a work-free day to mark 2024 Isese Day.

Makinde made this declaration on Wednesday. The announcement was contained in a circular issued by the Secretary to the Oyo State Government, Professor Olanike Adeyemo and made available to newsmen by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sulaimon Olanrewaju.

The statement said: “The governor, in the circular, encouraged all traditional worshippers and all citizens to use the day to pray for the peace, unity and stability of the state in particular and the country in general.”
