Police Arrest Woman Filmed Assaulting Maid in Umuahia
The Abia State Police Command has arrested the woman caught on camera assaulting her maid in Umuahia.
The spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Maureen Chinaka, disclosed this on X this afternoon July 6.
The viral video showed the woman assaulting the young girl and attempting to cut her throat with a kn!fe in her compound located at IBB Estate in Umuahia.
In the video, the young girl pleaded with the woman who was trying so hard to use the knife on her. A neighbor in the compound filmed the whole incident. The young lady was later rescued by a man who came in to stop the woman.
Reacting to the video, DSP Chinaka said the command is aware of the incident, and an investigation is currently ongoing. She mentioned that the suspect is in now in police custody.
