Police Confirm Schedule, Venue for Shooting Event at “ASABA 2026” Games
The organisers of the 15th Biennial Nigeria Police Games, tagged “ASABA 2026,” have announced that the shooting event will hold from Sunday, February 15, to Thursday, February 19, 2026. The competition is scheduled to run daily between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
This disclosure is contained in a statement released on Saturday in Warri by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the Delta State Command, SP Bright Edafe.
According to the statement, the shooting exercise will take place at Base 31, Police Mobile Force Shooting Range, located along Kwale Road in Ogwashi-Uku. It specified that the event would involve the controlled use of firearms strictly within the designated range.
“All necessary safety and operational measures have been put in place, hence members of the public are urged not to panic,” the statement read.
The Command further advised that access to the immediate vicinity of the range would be temporarily restricted during the period of the event. “Residents and road users are to comply with all safety and traffic directives,” it added.
The Commissioner of Police for Delta State, Aina Adesola, was quoted reassuring the public of the Command’s commitment to professionalism and safety throughout the duration of the exercise. The Command expressed appreciation for the understanding and cooperation of residents.
