Police launch manhunt for perpetrators as gunmen kill Imo driver, abduct motorists
The Imo State Police Command has begun a manhunt for gunmen who killed a driver and abducted some motorists in the Amala area of Ngor-Okpala Local Government Area of the state.
A statement by the command spokesperson, Henry Okoye, on Monday stated that the incident occurred around 5:50pm on December 7.
According to him, the armed men were said to have emerged from a bush path and opened fire on a Toyota Highlander with number plate SMK 514 BD, killing the driver.
He added that the assailants whisked away the occupants of a Lexus RS300, marked FSD 334 XA.
