Portable Survives Auto Crash Days Before Son’s Naming Ceremony

Controversial street-pop singer Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, has escaped unhurt after a brake failure caused a minor car accident in Ogun State.
The singer shared videos on his Instagram story, explaining that he deliberately drove into a ditch to avoid colliding with another vehicle after losing control of the brakes. The incident happened on Thursday night along a route he said he frequently uses.
Portable noted that the accident occurred within his neighbourhood and appealed to the government to fix the road. He expressed relief that no trailer was passing at the time of the brake failure.
The singer also revealed that the incident happened barely a day before the naming ceremony of his newborn son, Fijabi, whom his wife Bewaji gave birth to on May 1 during Portable’s celebrity boxing match with Carter Efe.
Portable said he had already bought two cows for the ceremony, adding that he was grateful the accident did not turn out worse. He also stated that his car was not damaged and that he came out unhurt.
The singer had earlier generated attention online after distributing free Ankara aso ebi fabrics ahead of the naming ceremony.
