Steer Clear Of Ekiti Route, FRSC Advises Abuja-Lagos Travellers
Abuja-Lagos travellers have been warned not to ply the Ekiti route but should go through Akure-Ondo -Ife -Ibadan or Lagos-Ibadan-Ife-Ondo-Ore-Benin.
The advice was issued by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Acting Corps Marshal, FRSC, Dauda Biu in a statement by the Corps Public Education Officer (CPEO), Mr Bisi Kazeem on Tuesday in Abuja.
Mr Biu also advised those traveling from the western part of the country through the state to the north to ply same route.
He said the advisory had become necessary because igbara-oke-ilara-mokin route is totally blocked at the moment.
“However, in the interim, Operatives as well as logistics have been adequately deployed to ensure speedy removal of the obstructions on that route for ease of movement”, he added.
