Tems, Wizkid bag wins at BET Awards 2022 (Full list of winners)

On the eventful night that took place at the Microsoft Theatre, Los Angeles, Tems whose real name is Temilade Openiyi went home with two awards.
First, Tems and Wizkid alongside Canadian recording artiste, Justin Bieber received an award for ‘Best Collaboration’ for the song, ‘Essence’; with the win, ‘Essence’ has emerged as the first African song to win a BET award and Wizkid becomes the first Nigerian and African to win an Award outside the Best International Acts category.
Moments later, Tems, emerged as the winner of the Best International Act.
The Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer was nominated with other talented acts such as Fireboy, Dave from the UK, Dinos from France, Fally Ipupa from Congo, Little Simz from the UK, Ludmilla from Brazil, Major League Djz from South Africa, and Tayc from France.
Tems also made history at the 2022 BET awards when she became the first African female to win the Best International Category.
With her win at the 2022 BET awards, Tems joins Ice Prince, Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy as Nigerians who have won the BET Awards.

In addition to the usual honors, Diddy was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award. He joins Whitney Houston, Prince, Queen Latifah, Anita Baker, Mary J. Blige, Samuel Jackson, and many more in receiving the honor.

Dating Nigerian Man A Taboo In South Africa- BBN Housemate, Khosi

Khosi, a Big Brother Titans housemate, has revealed that it is taboo to date a Nigerian man in South Africa.
Khosi, whose love interest in the house is a Nigerian, Yemi disclosed this to Jennie O and Ebubu.
According to her, she had issues in her relationship because of the taboo.
”In South Africa, it is like a taboo to date a Nigerian man.
”That was an issue at the start of her over 3-year relationship.”
When asked why Khosi added that ”some things are better left unsaid.”
Khosi had on Sunday revealed that she was in a four-year relationship with a Nigerian man in South Africa.
She has, however, shared a kiss with her new love interest in the house.

Ace Influencer, Aproko Doctor Reveals Battle With Brain Tumour

Popular Nigerian health and lifestyle influencer, Dr. Chinonso Egemba better known as Aproko Doctor, has discloses his recent battle with brain tumour.
He disclosed this in a video he shared via his Facebook account on Monday.
The popular doctor captioned the video, “Throughout December of 2022, I was fighting for my life. I went blind in one eye on the 3rd of December 2022 and on the 5th, I was diagnosed with a brain tumour.”
Speaking in the video, he said, “One thing to understand is that health issues can happen to you regardless of who you are including me.
“For the past three weeks or two weeks, I have been fighting for my life. Some of you have no idea. It happened that I was diagnosed with Craniopharyngioma which is a brain tumour and I had no idea I would be sharing my story.
“Here I am sitting on this seat sharing my own story about how I had a tumour in my brain. It was so bad that I couldn’t read out of my phone anymore to the point where this eye, I couldn’t read with it and it was also closing. They said it is a Craniopharyngioma and we need to do surgery to remove it.”
Over the years, Egemba has used his videos to enlighten people via his social media platforms, about health related matters and life changes that can improve and maintain good health.
