Terrorism: National Security Council Says Nnamdi Kanu Only Discharged, Not Acquitted

The National Security Council has stated that leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu was only discharged by an Appeal Court and not acquitted of the terrorism charges levelled against him.

This stance was made by the Minister of Police Affairs, Mohammed Dingyadi on the court ruling shortly after the National Security Council meeting convened today by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Dingyadi said a political solution was not discussed at the council but centralized discussion on the court’s outcome.

The council, according to him, is therefore considering an appropriate action to take on the matter and would notify Nigerians of its final position on the matter in due course.
