“Their Hypocrisy Stinks”, Keyamo Reacts To Ayu’s N1b Loan Allegation

Festus Keyamo, spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, has fauled a claim by the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Iyorchia Ayu, that the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar asked him to borrow N1bn.

Ayu, while reacting to an allegation levelled against him by Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, that he received the aforementioned sum from a presidential aspirant in Lagos, said that Atiku had asked him to borrow the money over the party’s lack of funds.

Reacting to Ayu’s explanation via Twitter on Saturday, Keyamo blasted the PDP, accusing them of being hypocrites for criticising President Muhamadu Buhari’s borrowings.

“Nigerians should see the same party that complains about the fact that we borrow in some cases to fund infrastructure.

“They have not even won an election, they are suggesting taking loans to run their party! The problem with the PDP is their hypocrisy that stinks to high heavens,” he tweeted.
