Tinubu Unveils Book on Buhari’s Legacy
President Bola Tinubu has unveiled a commemorative book, “From Soldier to Statesman: The Legacy of Muhammadu Buhari”, in honor of the late former president. The ceremony took place at the State House Banquet Hall in Abuja, with dignitaries including state governors and family members of the deceased in attendance.
The book, a multi-volume work edited by Dr. Udu Yakubu, chronicles Buhari’s journey from military officer to head of state (1983-1985) and later as Nigeria’s democratically elected president (2015-2023). Contributions include a memoir from former presidential spokesperson Femi Adesina, highlighting themes of national unity, anti-corruption efforts, and infrastructure development.
The event also touched on ongoing debates surrounding Buhari’s economic policies and security challenges. Tinubu, dressed in traditional attire, unveiled the book by removing a white drape from a large portrait of Buhari, revealing the title .
This commemorative book serves as a testament to Buhari’s enduring legacy, with Tinubu praising him as “a patriot, a soldier, and a statesman” who dedicated his life to Nigeria’s progress.
