US Offers Up to $10 Million Reward for Information on Iranian Officials
The United States Department of State has announced a reward of up to $10 million for information on several Iranian officials, including Mojtaba Khamenei, under its Rewards for Justice Program.

In a notice released on its X handle, the State Department called for information on individuals it described as “Iranian terrorist leaders,” stating that persons who provide credible details could qualify for a substantial financial reward and possible relocation.
The agency confirmed that the reward is “up to $10m” and added that information submitted through the programme could make informants eligible for “relocation.”
According to the poster issued by the programme, “These individuals command and direct various elements of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which plans, organises and executes terrorism around the world.”
Among the officials the United States is seeking information about are Minister of Intelligence Esmail Khatib, Deputy Chief of Staff Ali Asghar Hejazi, Major-General Yahya Rahim Safavi, Brigadier General Eskandar Momeni, and Secretary to the Supreme Council Ali Larijani.
Earlier on Friday, Larijani joined the Quds Day protests in Tehran and posted pictures of his participation.
The reward announcement comes amid escalating tensions between the United States and Iran. In related developments, US President Donald Trump made strong statements regarding the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran.
Trump said he felt “honoured” by the killing of Iranian leaders, describing Tehran’s leadership as “deranged scumbags” and claiming they have been “wiped from the face of the earth.” He made the remarks in a social media post shortly after midnight in Washington on Friday, as fighting in the conflict that began on February 28 continued.
“They’ve been killing innocent people all over the world for 47 years, and now I, as the 47th President of the United States of America, am killing them. What a great honor it is to do so!” Trump posted.
Reports indicate that Iran’s longtime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and several other top figures in Tehran have been killed since the war was launched by the United States and Israel.
Trump also criticised media reports questioning the effectiveness of the military campaign, saying coverage could make it appear that the United States was not succeeding. “You would incorrectly think that we are not winning,” he said.
According to Trump, Iran’s armed forces are suffering major losses. He said Iran’s military is “being decimated, and their leaders have been wiped from the face of the earth.”
In another post on Truth Social, Trump warned of intensified military action against Iran. “We have unparalleled firepower, unlimited ammunition, and plenty of time — Watch what happens to these deranged scumbags today,” he posted.
Meanwhile, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the American military would intensify its strikes on Friday, describing the planned operations as the heaviest bombardment since the war began.
“In fact, today will be yet again, the highest volume of strikes that America has put over the skies of Iran and Tehran,” Hegseth told a press conference.
Trump also reiterated his opposition to Iran obtaining nuclear weapons and boasted that the United States produces the world’s largest oil, stating that if crude oil prices continue to rise, his country will make more money.
