Veteran Actor, Olu Jacobs’ Burial Rites Date Revealed

Veteran Nollywood actor Olu Jacobs will be buried on October 2, 2026, according to a burial program released by actress Gloria Anozie Young.

The iconic actor died on Wednesday, September 16th, 2026, after ‘a life well lived and fought.’

The program, shared on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026, listed events for the final rites of late screen icon Oludotun Baiyewun Jacobs, MFR, widely known as Olu Jacobs.

The program shows that an evening to celebrate his life and career, tagged Night of Tributes, is scheduled for Wednesday, September 30, 2026. The venue is Glover Memorial Hall on Customs Street, Marina, Lagos Island, and the time is 4 pm. Attendees should dress in shades of blue.

The main funeral service is slated for two days later, on Friday, October 2, 2026, at This Present House, Freedom Way, Lekki Phase One, Lagos, starting at 10 am. The dress code for that day is shades of green.
