VIDEO: Corps member honours father with first NYSC salary, gets N7,000 back in prayers

A serving youth corps member has moved social media users after she presented her first salary to her father in a touching display of gratitude.

The young Nigerian, whose father is identified as Arogundade Adewale, was captured in a TikTok video kneeling before him in her NYSC uniform to offer her first pay cheque.

Her father, visibly moved, collected a portion of the cash N7,000 and returned the rest to her, accompanied by prayers and words of blessing.

Sharing the moment on his TikTok handle, @arogundadeadewale, he captioned the video: “My daughter brought her first NYSC salary to me.” He added in Yoruba, “Ounje omo ni,” meaning, “This is the fruit of my labour.”

The post has since sparked an outpouring of positive reactions, with many applauding the corps member’s thoughtfulness and her father’s modest response.
