VIDEO: Diesel Tanker Accident on Akala Expressway Leads to Fuel Spill

A loaded 33,000-litre diesel tanker overturned along the Akala Expressway in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Friday, spilling fuel across the road and damaging a parked Mercedes-Benz GLE SUV.

Eyewitnesses confirmed that no casualties or fire were reported following the incident. Footage circulating on social media showed the female owner of the crushed vehicle visibly distressed and communicating the situation by phone.

The tanker’s cargo leaked extensively across the roadway. Authorities are expected to manage the fuel spill and conduct necessary cleanup operations.
