We Have Not Elected Obasi Youth Leader- Ohaneze

Ohaneze Ndigbo, Igbo socio-cultural organisation,  has refuted reports that Livinus Obasi was elected its new National Youth Leader.

The denial was made by  National Publicity Secretary, Alex Ogbonnia, in Owerri, the Imo State capital, on Monday.

He said though Damian Okafor was suspended by the National Executive Council (NEC), the body was working to settle the issues.

Ogbonnia noted that the purported bye-election conducted to replace Okafor was null and void.

“The said election lacks credibility and was neither approved nor supervised by us.

“The NEC is not aware of any by-election to replace Okafor. We refuse to recognise Obasi”, he said.
