Wike Approves Promotion of Over 3,500 FCT Civil Servants

Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike has approved the promotion of 3,592 civil servants following the conclusion of the 2025 promotion exercise managed by the FCT Civil Service Commission.

The Chairman of the FCT Civil Service Commission, Emeka Ezeh, announced the development, describing the move as part of ongoing efforts to prioritize worker welfare and match administrative growth with recent infrastructure developments across the capital.

The examinations for senior officers took place earlier in July, followed by evaluations for junior staff. In addition to approving the completed exercise, the minister directed the commission to immediately initiate the 2026 promotion cycle to ensure eligible personnel advance without administrative delays.

Commending the discipline shown by workers during the testing process, the commission emphasized that future promotions will remain competitive and merit-based, urging eligible candidates for the upcoming cycle to begin early preparations.
