Yari Meets Tinubu In Lagos As APC Steps Up 2027 Campaign Preparations

Former Zamfara Governor and Director-General of All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, has met with President Bola Tinubu in Lagos as preparations for 2027 general elections gather pace.

Yari was accompanied by his son, Ahmad, during meeting with President. Engagement comes as APC Presidential Campaign Council intensifies consultations and organisational preparations ahead of 2027 elections. Yari was appointed DG of council in August, with Tinubu serving as chairman.

According to Yari, discussions focused on strengthening unity within APC and ensuring effective preparations for forthcoming campaign. He said party activities would remain focused on interests of Nigerians and maintaining public trust in administration.

Yari has in recent weeks led members of APC campaign council in consultations with political and traditional stakeholders as part of preparations for 2027 election. He has also said party intends to campaign on record of Tinubu administration.
