3 Killed As Gunmen Attack INEC Imo Office
Three gunmen have been killed when a gang attacked headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Port Harcourt Road, Imo State.
More than 10 gunmen invaded the facilities of the electoral body at 3am and set three offices ablaze. The offices burnt included the EPM building, Accounts and Servicom as furniture, files and vehicles were destroyed.
The Imo police headquarters, however, reinforced and dislodged the hoodlums after killing three of whom were reportedly killed.
The police said it arrested two of the attackers and had begun trailing the other suspects.
The Police spokesperson in the state, CSP Mike Abattam, confirmed the story.
