4 Dead, Houses Burnt As Bandits Raid Sokoto Village

Four persons have been killed by bandits  at Dangawo village and one other village in Sabon Birni local government area of Sokoto state.

The attacks were said to have occured in the early hours of Wednesday At Dangawo

It was said that the bandits razed down three houses and killed three persons, including a renowned traditional bone setter in the community who was fondly called Alhaji Aiwa Maidauri.

The deceased was holding the traditional title of Sarkin Daurin Sabon Birni (leader of traditional bone setters of Sabon Birni).

Other personalities that lost their lives in the attack were Malam Kabiru and Tasi’u while the fourth one who was killed in the neighbouring village could not be identified as at the time of filing this report.

A member, representing Sabon Birni local government, Aminu Boza who confirmed the attack, said “as I am talking to you, bandits are attacking Garin Bature.

According to the member, the whole of Sabon Birni is under siege as bandits attack, kill and abduct people at will.
