Cross River Women Hold Roadside Prayer Over Constant Youth Deaths

A group of women from Otukpuru community in Bekwarra Local Government Area of Cross River State, on Friday, gathered by the roadside to pray over the constant d3ath of their youths in the land.

Dressed in black attire, the women sang dirges and offered intercessory prayers, calling for divine intervention to stop what they called a disturbing pattern of untimely deaths among young people in the community.

Eyewitnesses said the gathering, which took place along a major road in Otukpuru, drew attention from passersby and residents.
