AAC Urges Oyo Residents to Engage in 2027 Elections
The African Action Congress, AAC, has called on its members and residents of Oyo State to actively participate in the 2027 general elections.
The call was contained in a statement signed by the Oyo State chairman of the AAC, Mr Kayode Babayomi, urging party members to step forward and prepare to contest elective positions.
Babayomi also invited individuals from progressive organisations, student movements, labour unions, and community groups to join the party and engage in the electoral process.
He described the AAC as the only credible alternative to the existing political order in Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
According to Babayomi, the 2027 elections will be a decisive contest between the masses and an old political system that has failed citizens over the years.
Babayomi expressed confidence that residents of Oyo State have learned valuable lessons and are prepared to support a party genuinely committed to justice, fairness, and people-centred leadership.
He stressed that party membership is essential for anyone seeking to contest under the AAC, noting that only registered members would be eligible to obtain nomination forms.
The party chairman urged citizens not to remain passive but to take active steps towards political engagement, organisation, and participation.
He described the moment as a critical opportunity for concerned residents to unite under a pro-people platform and reclaim the future of governance in the state.
