Adamawa Governor Appoints Former SGF Boss Mustapha to Northern Security Trust Fund Board
Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has announced the appointment of former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, to represent the state on the Board of Trustees of the Northern Nigeria Security Trust Fund.
The appointment, disclosed by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, on Tuesday, is part of a broader effort by the Northern Governors’ Forum to strengthen regional security through a dedicated sub-national initiative.
The Northern Nigeria Security Trust Fund was established to bolster the efforts of federal security agencies by focusing on intelligence coordination, operational logistics, and inter-state collaboration. The initiative aims to address prevalent regional threats, including terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, and communal violence.
Governor Fintiri lauded the appointment, describing the former SGF as a highly capable public servant whose leadership and national experience will be vital in advancing the fund’s goals.
“Boss Mustapha’s wealth of experience in public service, proven leadership capacity, and national stature make him eminently qualified to effectively represent the interests of Adamawa State on this all-important board,” Fintiri stated.
The Governor expressed optimism that Mustapha would play a pivotal role in fostering synergy among northern states and ensuring that Adamawa’s security priorities are effectively addressed at the regional level. He reiterated his administration’s commitment to collaborating with both federal and regional stakeholders to protect lives and property throughout the state.
