ADP Candidate Pledges Security, Welfare, and Economic Revival for Ekiti
Pastor Ojo Ayodeji, the governorship candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Ekiti State, has outlined a platform focused on security, citizen welfare, and economic development ahead of the upcoming election.
Campaigning on a promise of a people-centered administration, Ayodeji vowed to end insecurity through practical, community-based strategies. He stated that ensuring the safety of lives and property is the foundational step toward making Ekiti peaceful for both residents and investors.
Highlighting social welfare, the candidate announced plans for a comprehensive support package targeting nursing mothers and senior citizens aged 70 and above. He described caring for vulnerable groups as a core moral responsibility of government.
On the economy, Ayodeji identified agriculture as a key sector for growth, pledging massive investment to create jobs, boost food production, and strengthen rural economies. He also committed to improving road infrastructure to facilitate market access and economic activity.
The ADP flagbearer further promised urgent attention to education and healthcare, with plans for renovation and upgrades to improve service delivery. His agenda includes investments in human capacity through education, skills acquisition, and youth empowerment programs.
Presenting himself as a grassroots politician from Ikere-Ekiti, Ayodeji said his background as a pastor and businessman provides a deep understanding of local challenges. He urged residents to register, collect their Permanent Voter Cards, and support the ADP, which he described as a credible, people-focused party with a strong presence across the state’s 16 local governments.
