APC’s Uzodimma Wins Imo Guber Election With 540,308 Votes

The gubernatorial election in Imo State saw a resounding victory for the incumbent Governor and All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Hope Uzodimma, as he emerged triumphant

According to the Independent National Electoral Commission, Uzodimma scored a total of 540,008 to sweep all 27 LGAs.

Whil the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate, Samuel Anyanwu, came a distant second with 71,503 votes, the Labour Party candidate, Athan Achonu, came third with 64,081 votes.

The State Returning Officer for the election, Prof Abayomi Fasina, who is the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State, announced this on Sunday in Owerri .
