Buhari Swears In Arase As PSC Chairman
President Muhammadu Buhari has sworn in Solomon Arase as the chairperson of the Police Service Commission (PSC).
Arase, a former inspector-general of police, was sworn in on Wednesday.
He took his oath of office at the council chamber of the presidential villa during the federal executive council meeting.
Vice-president Yemi Osinbajo, Boss Mustapha, secretary to the government of the federation; Ibrahim Gambari, chief of staff to the president, and other FEC members were present at the swearing in ceremony.
The senate had in January confirmed Arase as the head of PSC.
The 65-year-old retired from the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in 2016 after serving as the 18th IGP.
