Canada Issues 1,000 Permanent Residency Invitations in Latest Express Entry Draw

Canada has issued 1,000 invitations to apply for permanent residence through its Express Entry system, targeting candidates under the Canadian Experience Class.

Conducted by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, the selection round required candidates to achieve a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System score of 523 to qualify. The draw utilized a tie-breaking rule based on profiles submitted by August 17, 2026, ensuring that applicants who met the precise cut-off time received consideration.

This latest round reflects a continued focus on skilled workers who possess prior Canadian work experience. Unlike other federal economic immigration paths, the Canadian Experience Class does not mandate settlement funds or specific education levels, though candidates must meet designated language benchmarks and possess at least one year of skilled work experience in Canada.

With this latest intake, immigration authorities continue a steady cadence of Express Entry draws aimed at meeting national economic and labor market objectives through skilled migration.
