Consultations: Wike, Allies Leave For Spain

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike and his allies, Samuel Ortom of Benue State, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State and Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, in the early hours of today jetted out to Madrid, Spain.

They travelled through the Port Harcourt International Airport.

This is a continuation of strategic meetings towards enhancing their position in the ongoing crisis that have trailed the presidential primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party  PDP.

The G5, the name for the Group of five governors led by Wike and his allies including former governors, ex-ministers, former senators, have been insistent on their demand that Iyorchia Ayu, embattled chairman of the major opposition party steps down as a condition to support Abubakar Atiku’s candidature.
