Court Sacks Edeoga As Enugu LP Guber Candidate

A Federal High Court in Abuja has sacked Chijioke Edeoga as the governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Enugu State.

Evarest Nnaji, popularly referred to as Odengene had earlier approached the Abuja court to challenge the May primary election that produced Chijioke as the party’s candidate.

Dismissing the primary election, Justice Evelyn Maha ordered the party to conduct a fresh primary election within 14 days.

The duo were members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) but defected earlier in the year to battle for the LP ticket for the forthcoming governorship elections.
