Ex-Ondo Commissioner Akindele-Odunmbaku Dies

Former Ondo State Commissioner, Mrs. Olasinmi Akindele-Odunmbaku, is dead.

According to family sources Olasinmi died of heart failure in the early hours of Thursday.

Mrs. Akindele-Odunmbaku served in the administration of former Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko. She held office as Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development and later served as Commissioner for Community Development and Cooperative Services.

She was appointed into the state executive council in October 2015 and was widely regarded for her contributions to women empowerment, community development and social welfare programmes in the state.

Family members, associates and government officials are yet to issue an official statement on the circumstances surrounding her death.
