Gbenga Fawehinmi Foundation Calls for Govt Support for Vulnerable Families

The Gbenga Fawehinmi Foundation (GFF), a non-governmental organisation, has urged all levels of government to partner with NGOs to support vulnerable families and alleviate economic hardship in the country. GFF Director of Programmes, Joshua Aremu, made the call during a food distribution event for 600 local families in Ondo Town, Ondo State, on Friday.

Aremu emphasized that civil society groups have deeper connections with vulnerable communities and understand their needs, stressing the need for government collaboration. “Governments should partner with organisations like ours. The food distribution is part of GFF’s annual yuletide outreach programme aimed at supporting the vulnerable. Aremu noted the initiative is a major corporate social responsibility project designed to ease the economic burden on low-income households during the festive season.

Beneficiary Nicholas Otufulure thanked GFF for its gesture, calling on other NGOs to emulate the initiative. GFF’s primary mission focuses on educational development for indigent children, asserting every child deserves access to learning as a fundamental right.
