Governor Abiodun Mourns Veteran Actor Taiwo Hassan “Ogogo”

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has mourned the death of veteran actor and illustrious son of the state, Alhaji Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo.

In a condolence message posted on Instagram, Abiodun described the actor’s death as a painful loss to his family, the people of Ilaro and Yewaland, Ogun State and the entire Nigerian entertainment industry.

He described Ogogo as a cultural icon whose remarkable career brought joy to millions and contributed immensely to the growth of Nigeria’s film industry and the promotion of Yoruba culture.

The governor also commended Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as YAYI, for standing by Ogogo and his family throughout his illness and treatment and for doing everything possible to support his recovery.

“Sadly, Almighty Allah knows best,” Abiodun said.

On behalf of his family, the Ogun State Government and the people of the state, the governor commiserated with Ogogo’s family, the people of Ilaro and the wider entertainment industry over the loss.

He prayed that Almighty Allah forgive the actor’s shortcomings, grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus and give those he left behind the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
