ICPC Uncovers Fresh ‘Fake’ Agency as Tinubu Orders Forensic Audit

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Offences Commission, ICPC, has again discovered ‘another fake’ agency.

The ICPC Chairman, Musa Aliyu, who made this disclosure on Friday, named one Prince George Buchi Nwabueze as the alleged promoter of the agency.

Aliyu said the office operates under the name ‘National Brands Development and Made in Nigeria Special Project Office’.

According to the anti-graft agency, the unlawful agency had been illegally allocated office space within the premises of the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF.

This came during probes into the earlier fake Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, PFIPC, which uncovered two more agencies.

Following the new development President Bola Tinubu has ordered the arrest of Nwabueze and suspension of three Permanent Secretaries; M.S. Danjuma, Nadungu Gagare and Richard P. Pheelangwah in the SGF office.

The President also ordered a forensic audit of government processes while the ICPC disclosed that investigations were ongoing.
