The lawyer pointed out that Peter’s public social media statements contrast sharply with what he has testified under cross-examination in court. Emphasizing that Jude has not been convicted of any crime and remains protected by the constitutional presumption of innocence, Effiong condemned the resort to a social media trial while active cases are still pending before competent courts.
