Lagos Governor Gifts LASU Best Graduating Students N20m Each

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced a personal cash gift of N20 million each to the overall best graduating students of Lagos State University for two academic sessions.

The announcement was made during the institution’s combined convocation ceremonies held at the main campus in Ojo. The beneficiaries are Ayilara Olawale, who emerged as the top student for the 2024/2025 session with a First Class degree in Project Management Technology, and Adebanjo Oluolamide, who secured the best graduating spot for the 2025/2026 session with a First Class degree in Aerospace Engineering.

The latest recognition follows prior academic awards received by the top achievers from institutional programs. The joint convocation ceremonies mark the graduation of thousands of students across both academic years, including hundreds who attained First Class honors.
