Marriage No Longer of Interest, Says Regina Daniels

Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has publicly declared that she is no longer interested in getting married, following her separation from her estranged husband, Ned Nwoko.

The mother of two made the revelation during a livestream with a TikTok content creator at her Children’s Day carnival in Asaba, Delta State.

Despite her stance on marriage, Daniels stated that she still wants more children and is particularly determined to have a daughter. She described motherhood as incomplete without a female child.

She explained that raising a girl comes with a deeper emotional responsibility, as a mother must serve as a direct role model. In contrast, she noted that raising boys is relatively easier because they can look up to a father figure.

The actress also observed that women tend to remain more emotionally attached to their homes than men, who often shift focus to building their own families after marriage.

Daniels and Nwoko wed in 2019, a union that drew widespread attention due to their 40-year age gap. They have two sons together.

Their relationship became publicly strained in 2025 after Nwoko alleged that the actress was struggling with substance abuse and needed rehabilitation. Daniels denied the claims and accused him of manipulation and psychological abuse.

She has since left the marriage, moved into her own home, and maintained that she is now single.
