NNPCL stations hike petrol price to N1,030 in FCT, hits N998 per litre in Lagos

Transportation costs are set to skyrocket in the Federal Capital Territory following the hike in the price of petrol by some stations of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited in Abuja on Wednesday.

The stations of the national oil company have raised the retail price of petrol to N1,030 from N897 per litre across multiple NNPCL stations in the FCT.

The new price, the second increase in one month, represents a 14.8 per cent or N133 rise.

Similarly, the NNPC increased the price from N855 per litre to N998 per litre across its retail outlets in Lagos.

This represents a 12.7 percent or N113 per liter increase from the price it sold as at yesterday.

The price increase kicked in early this morning, catching motorists off guards.
