NSCDC Nab 2 Child Traffickers In Jigawa
The Jigawa State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has arrested two suspected child traffickers.
The suspects Audu Sambo who is the father of the victim and Dahiru Usman were arrested on Tuesday, Nov 8,2022.
They were alleged to have taken a 12-year-old girl, Hajara Audu Sambo, to work as a domestic servant in Katsina State, Abuja before she went missing.
CSC Adamu Shehu, NSCDC spokesman in the state, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, November 9, 2022.
He said the duo was arrested on a suspected case of Trafficking and Criminal Conspiracy contrary to sections 281 and 96, punishable under sections 97 and same 281 of the penal code CAP P3 VOL III laws of Jigawa State 2012.
“The suspects, Audu Sambo (65) of Unguwar Dorawa village, Gwiwa LGA and Dahiru Usman (37) of Maje village, Roni LGA were arrested on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, for their involvement in taking a 12-year-old girl, Hajara Audu Sambo, to work as a domestic servant in Katsina State,” the statement read.
