NSCDC Seals Steel Factories After Multi-billion Naira Theft Bust
Following the recent exposure of a highly sophisticated syndicate systematically vandalizing Nigeria’s critical infrastructure, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has secured a comprehensive court order to seal all branches of Inner Galaxy Steel Company and Jiuxing Integrity Industrial Ltd nationwide.
The operation marks a major escalation in the federal crackdown on economic sabotage, infrastructure theft, and the alleged financing of terrorism.
Suspects linked to the syndicate are facing severe criminal allegations, including:Conspiracy to commit felony and theft,Intentional endangering of safety of persons traveling by railway
Obstruction, injuring, and damaging of railway infrastructure,Failure to give notice or information to a public officer,Dishonestly receiving and assisting in the concealment of stolen property,Giving support and financing to terrorist groups for the commission of acts of terrorism,Execution of Court Orders and Asset Recovery
Armed with valid search warrants and court orders, operatives from the Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad (CG’S SIS) stormed the Birnin Yero facility in Igabi LGA, Kaduna State. All recovered railway sleepers and tracks are being officially secured and transferred to the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) to be preserved as vital exhibits for prosecution.
