Police Arrest Suspect Over Man’s Robbery, Murder in Kebbi

The Kebbi State Police Command has arrested a 20-year-old suspect, Aminu Adamu, in connection with the robbery and killing of 25-year-old Ibrahim Yahaya, whose body was found in Bakin Dutsi Forest, Ngaski Local Government Area.

According to police reports, the victim’s body was discovered at about 8:30 a.m. on December 16, 2025, sparking concerns over security in the area. Acting on credible intelligence, police operatives tracked and arrested Adamu, a resident of Yauri Local Government Area, at about 2:20 p.m. the same day.

The suspect was allegedly found with a stolen Haojue motorcycle belonging to the deceased. Police spokesperson, SP Bashir Usman, confirmed the arrest, stating it followed intensive investigations launched after the body was found.

“The police arrested one Aminu Adamu, aged 20, in possession of the motorcycle earlier robbed from the deceased,” Usman said.
