Police Launch Investigation After Woman Found Dead with Missing Hand in Osogbo

An unidentified woman has been found dead within a church compound in the Obelewo area of Osogbo, Osun State, with her left wrist severed and missing.

Detectives from the Nigeria Police Force visited the scene following a report on the discovery. Preliminary findings indicate that the deceased was killed and her left wrist cut off and taken away by unknown assailants.

Police authorities noted that the motive behind the attack and the identity of the victim remain unknown. The corpse has been deposited at a local hospital mortuary for autopsy and further medical examination.

The State Criminal Investigation Department has launched a homicide investigation to identify the victim, track down the perpetrators, and determine the circumstances surrounding the killing.
