Police speaks tough on security- threatening pranks, arrests prankster in Abuja

The Nigeria Police Force, through the NPF National Cybercrime Centre, has arrested a Nigerian ‘prankster’, one Mr. Ubani Zion Chibuike (AKA ZFancy), at an apartment in Wuye, Abuja.

This arrest follows the circulation of accusatory videos on social media, in which ZFancy was alleged to have committed heinous crimes, including rape.

These videos caused significant apprehension among social media users according to a statement by police spokesman ACP olumuyiwa Adejobi on Thursday.

“Furthermore, ZFancy came out and claimed the videos were scripted and part of his attempt to regain the spotlight after a break. Regardless, such actions have serious implications and can not be taken lightly. The Nigeria Police Force remains committed to maintaining public safety and ensuring that individuals are held accountable for actions that incite fear or disturb public peace.

“The Police therefore warns pranksters and content creators to be law-abiding and be conscious of pranks and contents that could pose threats to the public and jeopardise the general security of our country. We urge the public to remain calm as we proceed with the necessary legal actions in this case.”

Kidnappers kill mother of popular Hausa singer, Rarara

Hajiya Hauwa’u Adamu, mother of a popular Hausa singer, Dauda Adamu, popularly known as Rarara has d!ed in the hands of kidnappers, reports revealed.

Recall that on June 28, Rarara’s mother, aged 75 was k!dnapped at her home in Kahutu village, Danja local government area, Katsina State.

The elderly mother was k!dnapped at her residence in Kahutu, Danja local government area of the state, in the early hours of Friday.

However, on Friday the Arewa on their X handle disclosed that the mother of the singer has died in the hands of the k!dnappers.

Abductors of Hajiya Hauwa’u Adamu, had reportedly demanded a ransom of N900 million for her release.

A source close to the family in Kahutu revealed that the abductors initially demanded N1 billion but later reduced the amount to N900 million after brief negotiations.

Banky W returns to classroom

Musician-turned-politician Bankole Wellington, widely known as Banky W, says he has returned to the classroom .

Updating his followers about his current pursuit in an Instagram post on Friday, the singer said he is now pursuing a master’s degree in policy at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.

He wrote;

“Gave up being a CEO to become a student because sometimes you have to let go of what is impressive to gain what is important.

“I’m currently pursuing a Master’s in Policy at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. The journey of faith continues. Please wish me well,” he posted.

This came barely two months after he survived a fourth cancer surgery
