Presidential Primary: Abia APC Congratulates Tinubu on his Victory
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his landslide in Saturday’s presidential primary election held across the 184 wards of the state.
According to the result announced at the end of the exercise, Tinubu polled 161,005 votes to defeat his opponent, Mr Stanley Osifo, who scored 1,007 votes.
In a statement issued in Umuahia and made available to newsmen on Sunday, the state APC Publicity Secretary, Uche Aguoru, stated that the peaceful exercise and large turnout reflected the confidence the members and supporters reposed in Tinubu’s leadership.
Aguoru assured the president of their total commitment and unwavering support to ensure APC recorded a resounding victory in the upcoming general elections.
It also congratulated the leader of Abia APC and the Returning Officer for the primaries, Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu, for ensuring the party remained united, focused, and coordinated across the state.
“Abia APC once again congratulates our amiable President on this resounding victory and promises to work to ensure he wins overwhelmingly in the general elections,” the statement added. (NAN)
