Three Arrested Following Fatal Stabbing of British-Nigerian Singer Mark Orabiyi in London

The UK Metropolitan Police have launched a murder investigation following the fatal stabbing of 35-year-old British-Nigerian singer Mark Orabiyi.

Emergency services were called to a residential property on Rayleigh Road, where paramedics located Orabiyi in a garden sustaining severe knife wounds. Despite life-saving efforts by emergency medical personnel, he was pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim, aged 20, was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening stab injuries.

Detectives quickly arrested three individuals two men and one woman in connection with the attack. Following initial police questioning, a 24-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were released with no further action. A 27-year-old male suspect has been released on bail pending additional enquiries.

In a public statement, Orabiyi’s family paid tribute to his remarkable musical talent, kindness, and vibrant spirit, stating that his memory would remain in their hearts forever.

Detective Chief Inspector Joanna Yorke, who is leading the investigation, described the attack as a tragic incident and urged the public to assist authorities. The Met Police are actively appealing to anyone who was in the Rayleigh Road area at the time of the incident to come forward, specifically requesting local CCTV, dashcam, or smart doorbell footage that may have captured the events leading up to the stabbing.
