Yaya Toure, Robbie Fowler, Others To Be Inducted Into Premier League Hall Of Fame
A former Ivory Coast and Manchester City midfielder, Yaya Toure has been nominated to be an inductee into the English Premier League (EPL) Hall of Fame.
Toure is one of fifteen players nominated by the Premier League as potential Hall of Famers on Thursday.
The list is dominated by players from Manchester United, Arsenal, and Liverpool.
The players include Tony Adams, Ashley Cole, Gary Neville, Sol Campbell, Jermain Defoe, Michael Owen, Michael Carrick, Les Ferdinand, John Terry, Petr Cech, Rio Ferdinand, Andrew Cole, Robbie Fowler, and Nemanja Vidic.
Toure will look to emulate Didier Drogba, his Ivorien counterpart and former national team captain, who was inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame in 2022.
Toure joined Man City from Barcelona in a high-profile £24 million deal. He played 316 games and scored 79 goals in the process. He won three Premier League titles with the Abu Dhabi-baked club.
The new inductees will be announced on May 3.
